In this episode, you’ll discover why Perseverance is The Key To Unlock Your Success Story

Here’s a summary of some of what our guest Pam Obasa discussed:

Why do you need to persevere?

  • Finding clients is the most difficult part of starting a business from home
  • Using Social Media and other platforms is the way most people use but it’s not sufficient
  • Your business can evolve and look a whole lot different from the beginning.

Start where it makes more sense for you, but start

Pam’s Story:

  • Began with working alongside her mom in the childcare business
  • Found a niche to help other childcare business owners to do what she was doing
  • Discovered her current niche through a failed webinar
  • Discovered one thing she did differently which was not to follow the gurus
  • She discovered that what she does best was right there “under her nose” all along

Perseverance was a key … by staying with it, it paid off

  • Notifications from PayPal was the beginning of what’s possible.
  • On the other side of perseverance is where the gold is
  • The thing you need to be doing is sometimes right under your nose

Stories: we all have stories, which helps us with our business

  • Start to develop a bank of stories; write down everything that affects you. This could be a story for someone else.
  • Learn how to tell your story well. It’s how you say it that matters.

Overcoming your inner Gremlin

  • Mindset is a key to sharing your stories well.
  • “Feel the fear but jump anyway”
  • Don’t go the journey alone. Get someone to help you along the way.
  • To overcome the inner gremlin is to fill your mind with that which inspires, motivates and drives you forward
  • Don’t compare; “all fingers are not made equally.”
  • You must be willing to do today the things others won’t do to have tomorrow what others won’t have.
  • Make sure you’ve identified your why. It will keep you motivated.

Cons of doing a business from home

  • You have to motivate yourself constantly
  • You have to hold yourself accountable or get someone to do so because there are no boss or being on the clock
  • You are the captain of your ship

Pros about doing a business from home:

  • You can spend more time with your family
  • You are in charge of your time management
  • Freedom and flexibility

Making time to work at your business requires:

  • Discipline. This is a common factor for successful entrepreneurs.
  • That you work smart. Utilize automation. Outsource what you can so you can do what it is you are a genius at doing.

Parting word: Get into the game! The best time to start your business is right now. Get the necessary help you need.
