➡️ Branding: What is it?

A Brand is:

• more than a logo. It is the gut feeling that people get when they see your product, service or organization.
• a promise that you are making in every transaction that you do.
• a collection of attributes. It is a definition of discipline.

Just because you own the company doesn’t mean you are the brand. The idea that you should be the brand is a box that limits the growth of your business.

Question: Why did you decide to start this business?

Answer:

• Out of necessity. After making obscene monies, the bubble broke and Jeremy was set back on his heels.
• I went from being a person who made 5-figures a month to being a stay-at-home dad for a whole year. 
• During this process, I noticed a need within the branding space and saw how I could fill it. Hence, Right Foot Marketing.

1. Take your draft product to a designer to have them provide a good artistic illustration of what that product does
2. Put together videos to show the behind the scenes process
3. Bring in professionals and get testimonials

➡️ How does a person who is just getting started to develop a brand strategy?

• Do your research before you spend a dime
• Look for your potential competitors
• Get a business plan (Google Business plan template). Use it as a guide
• Get your proof of concept (make sure you can make money with your business idea). Make proof of concept a higher priority than any of the other requirements needed for your online business.
• Pursue brand marketing

• Prepare yourself for the business you are pursuing
• Commit yourself to the process; the long haul
• Have a strong “why”, which will keep you going during a challenging time

Pros:

• your office is 5 to 10 feet away from your bedroom
• you are with your family
• be available to pick up your kids after school

Cons:

• your office if 5 – 10 feet from your bedroom so you work a lot of hours especially at first
• interruptions can be regular unless you’ve trained your family well
